Sigmat celebrate McCarthy Stone Sustainability Award
We were delighted to attend the McCarthy Stone Supply Chain Gala 2021, and humbled to be awarded Winner of the Sustainability award.
Following the successful installation of the flagship development in Hexham, which won the Seal of Excellence and NHBC Pride in the Job Awards, the team at McCarthy Stone were able to reduce the overall build time by two-weeks per floor. LGSF provides a more sustainable method of construction enabling faster delivery of much needed high-quality housing for the retirement community.
McCarthy Stone selected the Hexham site to be the UK pilot of the eco-friendly and modern method of construction, LGSF. Hewson Court on Dene Avenue, which saw the completion of its roof in February, has been built using Sigmat LGSF Solution.
Working collaboratively with McCarthy Stone over the last two years, Paul Smith, Managing Director of Sigmat, commented “We are delighted to have been awarded the sustainability award - a testament to the green credentials of constructing in light gauge steel. The scheme at Hexham demonstrated LGSF’s superior advantages in terms of speed, quality and sustainability.
