We are currently looking to recruit a Production Supervisor for our busy factory in Leeds. The role holder will be responsible for the daily shift supervision of the manufacturing facility, including health and safety, quality and productivity.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities include (but are not limited to):
Day to day management of manufacturing team including team leaders and operatives
Scheduling of permanent and temporary labour to achieve efficient manufacturing to customer demand. Incorporate flexibility within manufacturing team to cover increases in production expectation
Management of performance of manufacturing teams and equipment, coordinate and facilitate production performance and criteria creation - help create systems for measuring performance of process and manpower
Adherence to production programmes
Reduction of NVA processes
Manage material scrap data for optimising performance and reducing wastage
Collect and analyse quality data and implement permanent corrective actions
Promote continuous improvement and drive projects
Ensure that quality, GMP/CME, safety and environmental regulations/standards are met and continuously improved
Maintain the highest standards of workplace organisation and housekeeping
Apply group internal standards and policies, as well as industry standards
Ensure operators are properly trained and training records are kept up to date
Carry out factory-based inductions for new starters
Provide support to the wider management team with projects and new initiatives
Carry out people management/HR duties such as return to work interviews, investigations etc.
Carry out any other task commensurate with this post
What we are looking for:
Experience of supervising or leading a team in a manufacturing environment
Roll forming, fabrication or assembly experience is desirable
Experience of lean management and continuous improvement in a factory setting
Must be PC literate and competent using Microsoft products
