Reporting into the Manufacturing Director, the role holder is responsible for factory quality control and product quality audits and verification. 

This is a permanent, full time position.

What the role involves : 

  • Carry out product quality checks on materials, work in progress and finished goods.  Record data, analyse and implement improvement actions 
  • Ensure all products produced meet the requirements of EN1090-2 and are of a high standard 
  • Manage NCR process
  • Maintain material conformity records
  • Update factory quality KPIs 
  • Check operators are competency for their assigned tasks and that training records are maintained 
  • Ensure any non-conforming product is dealt with correctly and efficiently 
  • Act as the main point of contact for external auditors; coordinating any visits to site and ensuring that the relevant teams are prepped 
  • Ensure the company remains compliant to quality standards and the accreditations are achieved
  • Supplier performance management 
  • Drive continuous improvement activities 
  • Ensure that all quality documents are processed in line with the quality management system 
  • Any other tasks commensurate with this post

What we are looking for :

  • Previous experience in a quality assurance or quality control role in a manufacturing environment 
  • Understanding of measurement systems
  • Experience of data analysis and statistical techniques 
  • Can read and interpert manufacturing and engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of ISO prcedures and management systems 
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels 
  • Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft products 
  • A hands-on approach to problem solving 
  • Ability to work independently
