As part of the Continuous Improvements team, the role holder will be responsible for producing macros written in C# for use through the TeklaStrcutures API to interface with our light gauge steel frame projects.
This is a permanent, full time position.
What the role involves :
- Produce bespoke macros for use through the Tekla Structures API
- Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture
- Produce user guides to accompany new software
- Write clean, scalable code using C# language
- Ensure any new and upgraded software is released efficiently
- Host training on any new & updated software. Either in groups or one to one across multiple office locations
- Liaising with other staff, customers and the design team to help ensure development of new software is in line with the company's needs & priorities
- Developing project specific details alongside other members of the design team
- Assist software personnel in handling project-related work and other requirements
- Assisting & training less experienced members of staff
- Any other tasks commensurate with this post
What we are looking for :
Essential:
- Experience with proficiency in .NET platforms and related technologies (C#, WPF, Web Services, MVVM, VB.NET)
- Knowledge of .NET languages C#
- Ability to work alone / unsupervised or in a team setting and able to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems unassisted
Desirable:
- Experience of TEKLA Structures is advantageous
- Familiar with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller MVC)
- Knowledge of Xamarin forms, GIT (Azure DevOps, GitHub)
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
