We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician, to be based at our factory in Leeds.  

This is a permanent, full-time position, working Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5.00pm. 

Your key responsibilities : 

  • Operate an effective PPM system 
  • Maintain machine parts stock 
  • Coordinate and supervise third party contractors 
  • Lead any continuous improvement initiatives in areas of control and ensure projects are completed on time 
  • Ensure legal compliance of LOLER and PUWER 
  • Ensure thorough examination checks are carried out on time 
  • Ensure good housekeeping at all times 
  • Ensure quality standards are achieved at all times - paperwork is correctly filled in 
  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times 
  • Liaise with Production regarding errors, system failures and system problems 
  • Any other task commensurate with this post 

What we are looking for :

  • Experience in electrical/mechanical background is essential 
  • ONC Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline 
  • 17th Edition wiring regulations 
  • Good understanding about industrial machine service, repair and installation
  • Good knowledge of legal compliance
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication at all levels
  • Project management skills and ability to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to work in a team and on own initiative 
  • Ability to train others
