Reporting into the Construction Director, the role holder will be responsible for the creation of project specific programmes for the purpose of tendering through to project completion. Assisting all relevant departments through the process, producing relevant reports for key stakeholders.

This is a permanent, full time position.

What the role involves : 

  • Produce tender/construction programmes, using Eleco software (Asta Power Project)
  • Provide planning management and support to both the pre-contract operations for the business
  • Resource planning throughout the business
  • Co-ordinate with estimating and contract teams to manage and control the planning and programming aspects of bid proposals and contracts
  • Attend internal progress and WIP meetings
  • Interpret drawings and comments for changes, buildability, health and safety, and compliance with contracts
  • Provide guidance and undertake earned value analysis to trend performance, predict future outcomes and give early warnings to the contracts team on potential savings and/or early completions and the converse, potential overspend and/or delays
  • Produce reports and programme commentary
  • Adhere to the Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Any other tasks commensurate with this post

What we are looking for :

  • Experience in programme and project management, project planning including controls, project review, cost and risk analysis - proficiency in using Eleco software is essential
  • Ability to plan construction works from first principles, preferably with experience in multi-discipline projects
  • Proven construction planning experience
  • Technical knowledge to read drawings
  • A team player with proven leadership, motivation and negotiation skills
  • Effective communicator at all levels, both verbal and in writing - with ability to develop positive relationships
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a willingness to take responsibility, resolve issues and take decisions - a competent problem solver
