Sigmat wins prestigious project with leading Real Estate developer, Simply UK

Simply UK, a leading real estate developer in the UK, has selected Sigmat’s offsite LGSF solution for their Stowmarket Extra Care development. Simply have embraced MMC and in particular LGSF solutions for their projects to date but approached Sigmat to enhance the confidence of their master plan deliverabilities.

Following a successful tender process, Simply selected Sigmat’s Light Gauge Steel System. Sigmat will be supplying and installing load-bearing structural walls, external walls pre-panelised with sheathing board, deck and concrete floors, and staircases, all manufactured in-house at their Leeds Manufacturing Facility.

The 75 bed facility will be situated in the centre of the town on Prentice Road in Stowmarket and will provide much needed beds for the local area. The Sigmat team commenced on site are mid February 2022 for a 15-week programme. The four storey scheme is being developed for Morar Living.

Nick Milestone, Operations Director at Sigmat, commented “We are delighted to be working with Simply UK on their upcoming project. The dynamic nature of the Sigmat system lends itself naturally to the extra care and assisted living sector. Sigmat offer an end-to-end approach with in-house structural engineering and BIM modelling capabilities to our 100,000sqft manufacturing facility in Leeds, and dedicated site teams around the UK.”

Sigmat works began on site second week of March 2022.

We are excited to embark on this new relationship with Simply UK and support them in their mission to deliver sustainable and innovative developments for the UK market. The inherent green credentials of LGSF and the significant advantages it offers in terms of programme surety and speed, highlight the importance of MMC and LGSF to the industry as offsite fast-tracks towards mainstream construction.
